"Hulk-o-mania is running stronger than it ever ran before!" -Hulk Hogan, defender of the American Way, if not of grammar.
Ric Flair now has to be one of my favorite wrestlers. Why? A couple reasons. First of all, he's now considering running to be governor of some state. We all know how great wrestling politicians are. They might not be the brightest lot, but you know they can beat the stuffing out of any other leaders. The second, and main reason involves an online poll time magazine did a couple years ago to see who should be man of the century. They were expecting high votes for such people as Albert Einstein, and such. However, the result managed to surprise them quite a bit. I'm sure that by now you can guess who won the vote. Ric Flair. Because Time didn't consider him 'worthy', they disqualified him from the vote. But still, there were clearly enough people voting for Ric Flair to make him the Man of The Century. What a guy.
I don't really know how a WWF wrestler can justify calling himself the Ultimate Warrior, but I guess no one really dares contradict him for fear of being pinned. Yes, the Ultimate Warrior hails from the golden years of wrestling, when there were many 'interesting characters', less of Vince McMahon, and many more humorous quotes. For your possible enjoyment, I've compiled a few other notable quotes used by WWF wrestlers back in 'the day'. Note, however, that credit for some of these does not go to me, nor does the credit for this main quote itself. Time for some good quote value. Five extra quotes in the story for one!
"BANZAI!" -Yokozuna, when jumping from the top ropes to CRUSH his foe beneath his MASSIVE bulk.
"I don't believe this!" -The Commentators, whenever they see ANYTHING happen.
"Whether you like it or whether you don't, learn to love it, 'cause
it's the greatest thing going today. Whoo!" -Ric Flair. I assume 'it' is referring to himself.
