The final scene involving Topper has him beating his head on a table to prove he has a bigger headache than someone else. When that other concedes defeat, Topper admits that he's "just getting started!". What a guy!
We've actually concluded that acting like Topper would be one of the most annoying things anyone could actually do. Just think about trying to put up with that in real life. It even puts the "Exactly!" man to shame! A final note on the picture used for this quote. All should note that it is not actually a picture of Topper from the cartoon strip, although it does look slightly similar. However, I'm sure the subject of this quote would top it were he to actually see it. Fact is, I put Topper into a search engine and this is one of the things I got back. Imagine you were meeting a new co-worker for the first time. A fellow who looked like an executive, with an aggressive stance. Now, imagine that he would always top everything you say about yourself. Would this not be AMAZING? Okay, maybe not. But it is funny to read about. As some may have guessed, this quote comes from a few Dilbert comic strips. As usual, these comics are satirising corporate life, this time with the addition of a character named Topper. And according to the boss, this guy is AMAZING! He'll top anything that you say! The actual quote comes from the second comic strip involving Topper. In the strip, Dilbert is eating lunch with Topper and casually remarks that he has a mouse cramp. Now, I'm not one to diminish the importance of this ailment, but I must say that it's a big mistake to mention something of that kind in front of Topper. Immiediately, the latter goes into a story about how he had been jailed upside down in an Elbonian prison for seven years. And then he uses this week's quote, clearly believing the conversation to be his for the taking. Topper is also hillarious in several later strips. In one of these, Dilbert is arguing the merit of his project to the Boss. But talking about merit in front of Topper is a critical error...The approximate conversation will be presented below.

Dilbert: My project will only take one month to complete.
