Chloro---foam!

This quote comes from the Adventures Of Tintin. For those who don't know, this was a french comic/adventure book that was adapted into a cartoon television series. And really, it is quite funny. First of all, there's Tintin's hair. It's funny in its own right. How he manages to have it stand straight up in front (no matter the situation, such as being in captivity for several WEEKS), it's still exactly the same. And then there's Tintin's remarkable ability to find drug smuggling gangs. He turns those things up everywhere! When he goes to the supermarket, he ends up getting a clue into a drug ring's operations. If it were that easy, you'd think I'd have stumbled upon a couple myself while opening a can. (It's true! He buys a can and finds drugs in it! Coincidence? I think not...) Supposedly, Tintin is a journalist. Yet all he ever does is foil drug rings. I don't know HOW he gets money, but apparently he's quite well-off because he can afford those cans filled with drugs.

This actual quote comes from the fact that the villains often attempt to chlorofoam Tintin. This is especially noticeable in the cartoon, wherein they often press a cloth soaked with chlorofoam right in his face. As he should be falling comatose, Tintin always manages to gasp, "Chloro---foam!" I guess he can identify it easily by now, since they constantly use it on him. But doesn't that stuff cause brain damage when repeatedly used? I wouldn't be surprised. But despite looking like quite a wuss, Tintin is actually very strong. He always takes out his burly opponents in a single mighty punch. Then, finally, there's his dog. In the french version, his name is 'Milou.' But for the english cartoon, they translated it to Snowy. What's the deal with that? Snowy and Milou are totally different! Now I always think they're talking about the weather when he mentions his dog. Very confusing. Just like Tintin's ability to speak while being chlorofoamed.
