Now, Morto prepares his next scheme. It seems that he has both UNLIMITED resources and incredible skills (being an evil genius). Considering all that, what does he decide to build to spread his reign of terror and garner as much money as possible? You probably didn't guess a Mechanical Horse, right? Well, that's what he creates, along with a whole host of medieval weapons. Clearly, Morto has been in prison for a long time, since he thinks a sword is a weapon on the cutting-edge of technology. One would think that Morto and his medieval armaments would pose no threat to anyone, but actually he manages to rob many government convoys. Of course, it's not a good sign for the government when they apparently CANNOT count. They decide to send a one million dollar shipment of gold bullion guarded by four super-tanks. However, they actually get confused and send six. Of course, these tanks are no match for a genius on a mechanical horse. That's probably because the government miscalculated and sent only four tank shells for the six tanks. However, once Morto defeats the tanks and decides to open the cart containing the bullion, he is stopped by Birdman, who is there in place of the gold. Despite being incredibly hungry and (DEAD) weakened from being locked in an air-tight rolling safe for a couple days, Birdman easily defeats Morto. Let's face it, the sword wasn't much of a weapon. But the question remains: What happened to the gold? Did Birdman steal it? Did F.E.A.R. already hijack it to pay X The Eliminator's Fees? Or did the government screw up again and put Birdman in the safe instead of the gold?
In conclusion, I can only suggest that we keep evil geniuses away from the prison welding labs.
In order to understand yet another Birdman quote, allow me to recount the actual plot of one episode. It starts off in a maximum security prison, where two guards are busy watching an acknowledged EVIL GENIUS work in the metal lab. Instead of actually surveying this fellow at work, the two guards are just congratulating him for being a model prisoner. The evil genius finishes his work, and in plain hearing of the guards, declares, "Little do they know, I am constructing a suit of SUPER armor. It is finished." The guards must apparently take this as some sort of joke, even though you can plainly see the armor that has been made. But not only was the evil genius able to construct armor, he was also able to make a jet-pack, using only a welding torch and some metal. That is the power of Morto the Marauder. Using his welding torch to melt the bars of his cell is no problem, and his SUPER armor (which he apparently CANNOT remove) easily deflects the guards' bullets. Morto escapes to his secret mansion laboratory (which he subsequently wrecks for no good reason).
