If you haven't guessed already (and you probably haven't), this quote comes from the old cheesy cartoon Bird Man, wherein the above scene occurs. (advertisment mode on) In this exciting episode, the government invents three incredible weapons: The Lazer Canon, the Flying Tank and the Secret Serum. All three weapons are stolen by an expert terrorist gang led by the Ringmaster, and consisting of Jobo (the strongman) and the Human Fly (see above). Can Bird Man stop this trio? How will he swat the Human Fly? (/advertisement mode off). Actually, he doesn't even bother to swat the Human Fly. Being useless, the fly just buzzes off after having done nothing. Now, about those secret weapons: They're horrible! A flying tank? That's the worst invention I've ever seen. It's basically an incredibly slow hover tank that looks like it's about to break down any second. It must truly be feeble, since it puts up no defense when it is stolen by a giant robot arm while ALREADY ACTIVATED! And the Lazer Canon. How come no one is actually operating it when it is being tested? Jobo swings by on a rope (?!) and picks it up, with no resistance whatsoever. There is more to say about these government projects, but instead I'll just go swat the Human Fly.
"No one can stop the HUMAN FLY!" Of course, you should bear in mind that it's the Human Fly who says this. Actually, the Human Fly isn't even a fly at all. He's just some goof who wears a skin tight black suit and really funny glasses. Yeah, that sure makes you a fly. Although he does tend to buzz around in a rather irritating fashion. But his only power appears to be the ability to climb anything, including five foot walls. Now that's talent. For this reason, he's part of a circus troope. This circus troope doesn't actually perform, though. All it does is steal top secret weaponry that is common knowledge and poorly guarded. During the course of these heists the Human Fly does approximately nothing. At one point, he is spotted buzzing around by a couple guards. Predictably, the guards shout, "Get him!" The Human Fly then replies with this week's quote and climbs right up the five foot wall beside him. The guards, unable to angle their guns, are unable to hit the Human Fly thanks to his wall climbing abilities.
