Once again, we have another memorable quote drawn from a virtual plethora of Cab Calloway songs. I mean simply that this quote comes up in at least three of his songs that I can think of at the moment. So it's probably one of the more important quotes from the 'Hi-Di-Ho' man. He even has a song called 'Kickin' The Gong Around'! It's also mentioned in other songs that Smokey Joe (who's rather cokey) shows Minnie The Moocher how to 'Kick The Gong Around'. Which is one reason why Cab's songs are so awesome. The reason being that he has several key characters and lines that pop up in alot of different songs. So we all know who a new titan is (heheehe..). Since that point, Kickin' The Gong Around has become a thing people should commonly do. I mean literally. I've long been searching for a gong, so I can kick it around. Another of my various goals in life, methinks.
If you don't find all that stuff funny, well, you sort of have to hear the songs first. So buy a Cab Calloway CD. You won't regret your choice. Because man, his loose-limbed singing skills kick ass!
