This quote comes from an infamous song that almost everyone seems to know. It goes something like this: 'You wake up in the morning, it's a quarter to five, and you just can't wait to be alive. You brush your teeth..chacha.etc.' Well, the cha's are supposed to be soundeffects of someone brushing their teeth, but strangely enough, I couldn't find a WAV of that sound. Anyway, the whole point is that almost everyone seems to know this song. I mean, sure, it's a good song...but it's not the sort of thing I would expect to be incredibly popular. The following example has actually happened a couple times. We've got a roleplaying game going, and the group is just waking up in the morning. The GM makes a little faux-pas, and states, "Alright, you wake up in the morning..." and trails off. Then, simultaneously, all the players (myself included) broke into the tooth brush song. At the same time! We didn't even have to prompt each other!
Yes, that's right. This song was written by Raffi, one of the greatest children's entertainers ever. Or so he wants you to believe. I was suspicious of him from the first. But he does use a great name, Raffi. It sounds like a name you should almost shout, "Raffi!". Raffi also does many different styles of music, from kid's songs to children's songs to the tooth brush song. Next thing you know, we're going to be seeing the hit album 'Rap with Raffi.' He would sing the same songs as always, except punctuated with many "Yos" and "You know what I'm sayin', foo'!" But (almost) seriously, when describing these incidents to my other friends, they also immiediately thought of the toothbrush song. It's just natural instinct, I guess. Bred by Raffi, the mighty troubadour. By the way, that tooth brush I used as picture (ya know, the weird GREEN AND YELLOW one) is called the 'Magnum' toothbrush. Just thought you should know it had such a cool name.
