It's hard to find good help these days, especially if you are both a super villain and a WEED! Yes, I am afraid to admit that I have once again been mesmerized by that ultimate being of evil, from the low-budget cartoon of Plastic Man. That is the spawning zone for this quote, which was taken from one of the Weed's two followers, Pete. The context of the quote is simply hilarious. The Weed has just discovered that Plastic Man (the stupid hero with a brain of plastic) has traced him aboard a luxury cruiser, 'using room service to find him'. He quickly dispatches his two goons, Pete and Moss, to dispense with the valiant protagonist.
Now here's the funny part. Faced with the dilemna of defeating Plastic Man, and able at last to use their own methods to complete a job, Pete and Moss quickly hatch a scheme. Yes, with practically unlimited resources at their beck and call, they decide to...roll a barrel at Plastic Man. That's when Pete uses the line, "Roll out the barrel!" The only thing this accomplishes is to warn Plastic Man that a barrel is about to be rolled at him. Naturally, he simply steps over it. So much for Pete and Moss' vile scheme. Of course, had they been really cunning, they would have simply shot Plastic Man and been done with it. But no, we all know Barrels are far superior weaponry.
On a completely different side note, everyone must realise that a store called 'Crate & Barrel' must be quite awesome. Sadly, it doesn't sell either crates or barrels. I was disappointed.
