Adventure Overview
Players: Mr. Rhyze, Morton, Taylor.
Enemies: Poor fashion sense, rival pilots and more.
Started: With the arrest of Moriarty.
Ended: As Guido was locked in a closet.
Needless to say, a dozen black-garbed security guards lept atop the extreme sports star. It also goes without saying that Vin easily tossed them aside and literally ran from the room, still quite furious, even though he had avoided paying the registration fee. Mean Gene was quick to mention that the race administration had hired unbelievable security, though apparently not in a good way. A bit shocked by Vin's entrance, Morton asked Gene if he was a good pilot. Not surprisingly, Gene declared that Vin could really win this thing, though he added that some racer named Joe Demott also had a good chance of winning, despite the fact that no one had heard of him. At that point, Mean Gene's ridiculous predictions were interrupted by the arrival of another man, who caused an even greater stir amongst the crowd.
Craig T. Nelson The crowd was extremely impressed by Craig T. Nelson's arrival, as he pulled up in his bright yellow NASCAR transport. Leaping from the cockpit, Craig T. Nelson let loose some of his trademark lines, and declared that they should all get going. Mean Gene joined the rest of the crowd in rushing forward to greet the NASCAR pilot, leaving Morton, Johnny and Taylor to explore the Grand Prix station. There seemed to be several important locations, including the mechanics shops, the Observation Lounge where people would watch the races, once they started, The Quality Inn and Wallmarket. The idea of a market obviously appealed to Taylor and his expanding clothes operations, while Morton decided to check out the mechanics labs to see if he had some time to prepare his ship. Johnny decided to check out some of the women who were walking by. Morton was joined in the Mechanics Bay by Vin Diesel, who had come looking for suspicious transport ships. There were many ships being serviced, obviously requiring many technicians to populate the area. Morton and Diesel both accosted one to ask questions, though on very different topics. Morton wanted to know if he had time to tune up his ship, while Vin had questions about recently arrived ships. The greasy mechanic replied to Morton's question first, and told the pilot that he would likely be having his time trial very soon. Answering Morton caused Diesel's response to take too long, which in turn caused the extreme sports star to fire a rocket across the lab and torch several ships. Now quite terrified, the technician told Diesel that most of the ships that were arrived were small fighters for the race, but several larger transports had also showed up, mostly owned by smugglers. That said, the mechanic scurried away, eager to be away from the enraged Vin Diesel.
Race: Deksiilan
Occupation: NASCAR Driver
This man is almost too horrifying for a description. Craig T. Nelson was known throughtout the galaxy as a skilled NASCAR pilot. As such, most people thought that he would have no trouble competing and winning at the Kessel Run. He could be described as a tall man, with combed back blond hair and a yellow jumpsuit. He could also be described as an overly arrogant jerk. When Craig T. Nelson wasn't busy blustering about how he intended to get down to business, he was often instead blowing on a whistle that hung around his neck. This was really just as bad. Worse yet, using this whistle would likely remind everyone present about Craig's appearances and starring role in the old sitcom called Coach. Because of his NASCAR reputation and arrogant bravado, Craig T. Nelson was permitted to skip the typical time trial that was used to weed unworthy pilots from the Kessel Run. Despite this, all would soon find that his piloting skills couldn't live up to his gung-ho blustering.
Winning the Kessel Run requires more than just a functioning Interocitor. You'll need to use the following moves to come out on top in this race. Each sector of the course will allow for different types of moves. To accomplish the move, simply make the desired check found under the appropriate level of space flight. Upon success, a pilot adds the relevant stats of their ship to their total Speed. At the end of a race, the pilot with the highest cumulative Speed is the winner. Note that each technique has a certain level of difficulty, which represents the circumstances under which it can be performed. Only maneuvers up to the level of the current terrain can be performed by pilots. For example, on a Straightway of level 2, you cannot perform level 3 moves. Note that all halves are rounded up for the purposes of this event.

The basic course was straightforward and simple, and it gave Morton a chance to really push the speed of his Falcon-X. In the end, he came out of the trail with a fairly impressive time. However, this time wasn't quite as fast as the one clocked by a furious Vin Diesel. After both flights, the officials noted that they announce the twelve pilots who had made the cut over the intercom. Until that time, they were both free to go about their business. Morton's 'business' included a trip to see how Taylor was doing in Wallmarket, and inform him about his great performance at the time trial. The tailor was involved in business of his own as he wandered the shady hallways of Wallmarket. Many products were on display, but Taylor was more interested in selling rather than buying. As such, he was searching for a blank booth where he could set up shop. There didn't seem to be any around, but he did spot one that wasn't really being used. It was occupied by the following character, who was simply lounging against the counter as he watched the crowd pass him.
The Transporter When questioned about his booth, The Transporter explained that he was waiting to meet someone who would be picking up his cargo. As such, Taylor noted that he would have no need for a booth. After having his fashion sense called into question, The Transporter finally agreed to allow Taylor to rent the booth for a small fee, provided he was allowed to hang around and wait for the person sent to meet him. Once this was settled, Taylor began setting up his display. It included several mannquins, all with asymmetrical arms and legs, and all garbed in the latest Tintin style. People found this display very persuasive, especially when they discovered that they wouldn't actually have to alter the lengths of their appendages in order to be in style. The fact that the material was from Egypt also proved to be a great selling factor. As such, the tailor had made a tidy profit by the time Morton arrived on the scene. After some quick bragging to Taylor, Morton became intrigued by the presence of The Transporter. Upon hearing that the Falcon-X missiles were ordered by The Broker, Morton declared that he would take possession of the shipment. Unforunately, neither he nor Johnny's ship had the capacity to carry a dozen extra missiles. In the end, Morton was forced to pay The Transporter more money to deliver his 'package' directly to space station Epsilon. While these final details were arranged, Taylor was approached by a journalist wearing white pants. It was Keith, and he thought that Taylor's fashions were fantastic, quite possibly the best line of clothes ever. Needless to say, Keith had been ostracized by the other journalists covering the Kessel Run due to the fact that he was still wearing white pants after labour day. Taylor had just the solution: a pair of brown Tintin slacks! Keith once again proclaimed this fantastic, and noted that Barbie would look at him in a whole new light with these pants. After more money had changed hands, a message over the intercom announced the twelve finalists for the Kessel Run, in no particular order.
Race: Electran
Occupation: Professional Transporter
The Transporter was a hard-faced Electran, clad in a black suit. His head was shaved and his body was in good physical condition. As his name would imply, the Transporter made his living by transporting cargo from one place to another. One of his contacts was The Broker, who instructed him to bring a dozen Falcon-X missiles to the Grand Prix station, where they would be picked up by an Epsilon envoy. The legality of these missiles remained an open question, and one on which The Transporter refused to comment. According to his own rules, you should never open the package that you're delivering. It was heavily implied that failure to follow this rule had resulted in some martial-arts fight scenes in the past, possibly with never before seen footage.

-Craig T. Nelson in his racing ship, the NASCAR.
-Yoshi in his Falcon, The Green Machine.
-Boshi in his Falcon, The Imitation.
-Peach in her Thunderer, the Moneytrain.
-Speedracer in his Silverdust, the Speedmobile.

-Mallistayre the Red in his Heatwave, the Red Baron.
Peach Peach strolled along, tossing money behind her to the black-garbed station officials, who seemed more than willing to accept these bribes. Morton was also ready and willing to accept Peach's money, and used his Terrorian fear factor to help intimidate Peach. He also solicited Keith's help in extracting money from the princess, which turned out to be only a shout of 'Go Team!' Meanwhile, a terrified Princess Peach wondered aloud who would come to rescue her from the scary one-eyed Morton. This call was answered, not by a fat plumber, but by a WEEPBONG!
Yoshi Yoshi's arrival on the scene brought great relief for Peach, but was partially dampened moments later by the arrival of Yoshi's rival, Boshi.
Boshi Boshi was quick to denounce Yoshi, and declare that he wouldn't be helping anyone after his next race. The effect of this statement was increased by the villainous grin worn by Boshi as he fiddled with a wrench. He didn't think that Yoshi's acceleration would be working so well this year, and concluded this obvious threat with another FWIPOW. Yoshi merely looked confused, and responded with a baffled WEEPBONG, before leading the way towards the observation lounge. Almost the entire crowd in Wallmarket had gathered around the famous pilots, and they now followed the group towards the lounge. Seeing his customers departing, Taylor decided to relocate to the observation deck, accompanied by both Keith and Morton. Their destination was already crowded by the time they arrived, and littered with explosions from a frustrated Vin Diesel's rocket launcher. The extreme sports star's impatience contributed to Mean Gene's decision to announce the first heat admittedly. It would include Morton Ragnarsson, Craig T. Nelson, Peach and Mallistayre the Red. Morton was pleased to get a chance to take Mallistayre on, even if he couldn't use his weapons to do so. Naturally, Vin was not so pleased that he wasn't included in this first heat, and he expressed his anger in a most explosive fashion.
Race: Electran
Occupation: Princess
Hopefully, Peach shouldn't require much description. She was a very haughty woman with blondish hair, a pink dress, white gloves and a gold tiara. She was likely to respond to any given situation in one of three ways. The first would involve declaring it 'Peachy'. The second would include an offer to bake a cake. Peach's third, and arguably most effective, response would be to shower everyone present with money. Although honest officials might frown on such open acts of bribery, those sorts of people wouldn't really be running the Kessel Run anyway. It was widely speculated that Peach made up for her lack of piloting skills with a great deal of money. After all, they don't call her ship the Moneytrain for nothing.
Race: Chalchakian
Occupation: Pilot
The Chalchakian pilot known as Yoshi was favored by many to win the Kessel Run. His most notable aspects are certainly his incredible acceleration and his single-word vocabulary. Although Yoshi didn't actually look like a dinosaur, he did wear a green pilot's uniform with an egg emblem on his chest. His shoes were red, and his flight helmet was green. When not busy saying 'WEEPBONG!' or winning races, Yoshi could often be found eating. He seemed to have a tremendous appetite for all sorts of foods. Although very good-natured, Yoshi was almost always thrust into an insane rivalry with Boshi, a very evil and bizarro pilot.
Race: Chalchakian
Occupation: Pilot and Yoshi's rival
The evil rival of Yoshi, who was determined to win the Kessel Run at any cost. In truth, Boshi very much resembles Yoshi, with only a few differences. But they're big ones. His appearance is mostly the same, with blue colors instead of green and a pair of sunglasses that Boshi always wears, even when in space. Because he's bad. Boshi also has good acceleration, in addition to a vocabulary far larger than his green counterpart. However, his trademark line of 'FWIPOW!' isn't nearly as catch, and is almost painful enough to be used as a weapon. Boshi was willing to stoop as low as necessary to beat Yoshi, including cheating, which he would constantly mention in a not so subtle fashion before concluding with a sinister FWIPOW.
Betting was underway in moments, and Morton was quick to place wager money on his own chances. Taylor also put some money up for his fellow crewmember. His amount was dwarfed by Vin Diesel's wager of one million marks. Considering movie income, the sports star considered this a small expense. Peach didn't bother betting, but instead distributed some money amongst the judges before heading down to her ship. As the pilots readied themselves, Mean Gene annonced that Craig T. Nelson had been randomly selected to choose the course. There were two choices, and they included the 'Rough Ride' and the 'Grand Prix'. Not surprisingly, the NASCAR pilot decisively chose the Grand Prix. As they waited for the race to begin, Mallistayre contacted Morton for some mild trash-talking. Morton responded in kind, and before Mallistayre the Red could retalliate, the race began.

Needless to say, this heat could have almost been considered a two man race. Though Craig's ship was quite good, he was not. So despite his shouts about how it was time to go, he didn't end up moving anywhere fast. Peach's horrible acceleration contributed greatly to her lack of speed, though her bribes did considerably improve her speed. Still, Craig only had to make two checks to finish the race far ahead of her. Competition for first was completely between Mallistayre the Red and Morton. It seemed like it was up in the air for the first part of the race. Mallistayre's acceleration was superior, but his top speed wasn't up to the Vesper's standards. But with a little luck and a lot of mad skills, Morton was able to finish the race slightly ahead of his foe. As Craig T. Nelson flew around the station for his victory lap (ignoring the fact that he had placed third), Mallistayre got some revenge by opening fire on Morton with his lazers. The Epsilon pilot was taken by surprise, and noted that his own weapons were still disabled by the Grand Prix computer. As such, he was essentially a floating target. Fortunately, Morton was still able to perform defensive maneuvers as Mallistayre pressed his attack. Desperate for assistance, Morton demanded the computer code to unlock his weapons. Mean Gene was busy declaring the unexpected attack 'unbelievable', while all the other race administrators seemed unaware of the code or where it was kept. After declaring that Mallistayre could win this thing, Gene admitted that he also didn't know where the codes were kept, but he did know that the station had a main gun that could return Mallistayre's fire.
It looked like it was up to Vin Diesel and Taylor to operate this gun with their mechanics skills. They quickly accosted an odd, green-skinned security officer and told him to take them to the gun. This strange black-garbed official led them from the room, and eventually directed them through a doorway. Once an impatient Vin had pushed Taylor through the door, the green-skinned officer slammed the door behind them and locked it. They found themselves trapped in a closet. In such a confined space, even Vin's rocket launcher would do more harm than good. Not that this seemed to worry the sports star. Once Taylor had convinced Diesel to put his launcher aside, the two exerted their muscles in an effort to knock down the door. This proved no problem for Vin's strength. As Diesel stormed off in search of the untrustworthy guard, Taylor kept looking for the gun. He found it several doors farther down, and used it to drive Mallistayre away. Morton was relieved to dock his ship with most of it still in one piece. By the time the two had returned to the observation lounge, the second heat was set to begin. It included Johnny, Captain Falcon, Vin Diesel and the Duke Boys. The Iceman's bragging was almost upstaged by the arrival of one of the aforementioned pilots.
Captain Falcon Vin Diesel had no doubts about who was going to win this race, and wagered three million marks on himself. Morton and Taylor didn't share his opinion, and instead went with the pure style of Johnny, who claimed that both he and his ship had the most style out of any of the competitors. Taylor had to agree with him. Once all the bets had been taken, the pilots headed down to their ships. The Grand Prix track was chosen a second time, since the Rough Ride would surely last longer than Vin Diesel's patience.
Race: Deksiilan
Occupation: Pilot
An arrogant pilot who also seemed to be an incredible fighter. Captain Falcon wore a skin-tight blue spandex suit, a red helmet that shadowed his eyes, and red shoulder plate that seemed purely there for decoration. He was fast both in his Falcon-X and on his feet, and could marshall the incredible destructive powers of the Falcon Punch and the Falcon Kick, though the former was extremely slow and inaccurate. Captain Falcon was also one of the more famous pilots in the galactic racing circuit, and seemed constantly ready to take on any challenger. In fact, he would often invite them to show him their moves.

This heat was much closer than the last one, with all four pilots trading off for the lead. Even the Duke Boys kept up with the pack, despite the fact that the bad Duke Boy seemed to be flying an inordinate amount of the time. Johnny was all about style, and his Full 360 turns and amazing spins netted him some high speeds. On the other hand, Captain Falcon's style was mixed with an incredible top speed that saw him make stupendous time on the straight sections. Vin Diesel seemed good at everything except turning, which he didn't believe was necessary. In the end, it came down to last round, during which Captain Falcon, Johnny and Vin raced towards the finishing line, with the Duke Boys trailing slightly behind. To Vin's fury, Captain Falcon pulled ahead at the very end to take the win, while Johnny finished slightly behind the extreme sports star. This loss cost Vin Diesel three million marks, but he intended to make it back with interest during the final heat, which was subsequently announced. It included all the remaining pilots, such as the conniving Boshi, Yoshi, Racer-X and Speedracer. This also served as the introduction to the last two racers. During this event, Boshi declared that he was going to go check over Yoshi's ship to make sure it was working properly. The only response to this statement was a startled WEEPBONG.
Racer-X Speed Racer Since none of his colleagues were in this race, Taylor decided not to make a wager. Morton made a similar decision. This was in stark contrast to Vin Diesel, who bet another three million marks on Yoshi. Indeed, Yoshi seemed to be the crowd favorite, though Boshi promised from the seat of his Imitation that his rival wouldn't even finish the race. Though Yoshi was given choice of the track this time, his only response was unsurprisingly a WEEPBONG. Mean Gene could only interpret this as the 'Rough Ride'. With only a bit more commentary, the race begun.
Race: Unknown
Occupation: Mysterious Pilot
Racer-X was a very mysterious pilot. Since he was such an enigma, there's really not much I can say about him. He wore a white spandex costume, with a black mask over his face and a swirling red cape that would often flare up dramatically in accordance with some invisible wind. The main decoration on his uniform was a big 'X' across his chest. Racer-X's motivations for participating in the Kessel Run remain a mystery, much like his purpose in the campaign.
Race: Arsan
Occupation: Pilot and TV Show star?
Speed Racer was clearly a filler pilot. He was a little kid who wore a sparkly white pilot's uniform and helmet, and sported both a high-pitched voice and a terrible themesong. Despite his young age, he had already developed an ego that almost stood up to pilots twice his age. Unfortunately, this ego didn't seem to translate into racing skill. Still, Speed Racer's Speed Mobile was a fast ship, if flown by someone other than its owner.

As the race began, the crowd was quick to notice that Yoshi's engines seemed to be having some problems. It was almost as if someone had cut some of the important wiring. The smoke eminating from the Green Machine only caused a smirking FWIPOW from Boshi, who wasted no time in taking the lead. However, his victory was shortlived, as Yoshi zoomed past him despite his engine problems. Yoshi maintained his lead with suicide runs through the asteroid areas and other techniques that used his incredible acceleration to good advantage. Speed-Racer and Racer-X were battling it out for third, with the edge going to the mysterious Racer-X. Boshi's speculations that Yoshi's ship would explode before reaching the end of the course proved incorrect, and the crowd's favoriate zoomed to victory with an angry Boshi trailing in behind. Vin Diesel was pleased to have recovered his losses, but his pleasure melted away when he spotted a familiar green-skinned security agent peering into the room. Without hesitation, he pulled out his rocket launcher and gave chase.
Morton spotted the figure as well, and recognised him. It was Guido, the fast-shooting alien who had helped Jabba the Hut escape from the Epsilon brig. Motioning for Taylor to follow, Morton also gave chase, but managed to restrain Vin Diesel from firing his rocket launcher in the crowded hallway. As the three burst out into the station's main corridor, they bumped headlong into Tintin. Or at least a Tintin. The Grand Prix seemed to have many of them. But this one was the real deal, and he had big information. Tintin declared that he had discovered evidence of a conspiracy reaching up to the very top levels of the race that seemed to involve drug smuggling in some way. Vin had heard of his Tintin and his constant struggles against drug dealers, and had to respect the journlist's speed. As such, he revealed his affiliation with the CIA, and voiced his belief that Guido was working with the drug dealers. Tintin was quick to accept the conclusion, and noted that a green-skinned security agent was a perfect way to smuggle drugs. Before anyone could dispute this, he added that they might want to follow Guido discreetly to see if he led them to his accomplices. Though this was contrary to Diesel's usual policy, Taylor had the perfect idea to pursue without attracting attention. They would need a disguise. And what better way to blend into a crowd of Tintins than with Tintin fashion. In short order, the team resumed their dispute, now in a much more fashionable guise.
Eventually, Guido led them into the now-abandoned mechanics bays. With several furtive glances in all directions, the Terrorian stepped through an unmarked side door, closing it tightly behind him. After several moments of listening, Vin Diesel grew impatient and kicked the door down. This revealed a secret space bay, that was currently occupied by a large armed transport. There were six people standing in front of the transport's open hatch. Guido was joined by four goons in pin-stripped suits, all armed with PK-43 handguns. They were all receiving orders from an autoblaster-equipped enemy that Morton knew well: Gangsta' #1. Upon noticing Vin's less than subtle entrance, Gangsta' #1 told his boys to get them while he declared a hit and run. This involved firing his autoblaster randomly in all directions as he raced into the transport's open hatch. Guido was obviously the first to act, and fire a quick and terribly inaccurate shot at Vin Diesel. The goons were slightly more effective, and scored a few minor hits. Taylor and Morton were reluctant to approach, given Diesel's rocket launcher. Tintin showed no such reluctance, and charged into the fray with a knockout punch. Vin fired a rocket several seconds later which left the goons literally in pieces, and Tintin badly wounded. Aside from this friendly fire incident, things seemed to be going well for the heroes until they heard the sound of a vehicle approaching.
A forklift drove into the bay moments later, carrying a large crate marked as confiscated drugs. The man in the driver's seat quickly lept out and challenged the heroes to show him their stuff. It was Captain Falcon, and he didn't intend to let some extreme sports star, a washed up pirate, a wounded journalist and a tailor interupt his big drug deal. All action now focused on Captain Falcon, since Guido appeared to be totally useless, despite his speedy shots. Or maybe because of them. Captain Falcon was certainly up to the challenge, with powerful uses of his Falcon throw and kick. As he was taking heavy fire, he also brought out his dreaded Falcon Punch, which almost downed the furious Vin Diesel. Fortunately, Taylor, now safe from Vin's rockets, stepped up to lay the finishing blow on Captain Falcon. As his followers were going down to defeat, Gangsta' #1 was starting the engines on his ship. The bay doors opened into space as he took off. Most people desperately rushed for the door, while Vin quickly reloaded a rocket. While Morton, Taylor and Tintin were able to clear the space vacuum, Vin found himself pulled towards the blackness of space. Fortunately, the kickback of his powerful rocket launcher gave him just the boost he needed to escape the room. Now safe, Tintin was able to use the computer to shut the bay doors. Gangsta #1 had escaped with part of the cargo, but Captain Falco and Guido had been captured, in one case for the second time. And with Captain Falcon obviously out of the running, Vin was fast to point out that he would be competing against Morton the following day in the final of the Kessel Run. Needless to say, this also made him furious.
