These two mysteries had been solved, but there was more crime to come. Moments later, a call summoned all officers to the bridge. They had received a distress call from The Manor, one of the ships docked in the space bay. According to the call, delivered in a most rude manner, there was great trouble on the ship, and security was needed immiediately. Blank wasted no time in mobilising a group of Red-Shirts down to the ship. Intrigued, Poirot also went down to the scene, accompanied by his entourage. This included Captain Hastings, Faust, Morton and Mr. Rhyze. Before long, the detectives found themselves in the Manor ship. It appeared to be a very luxurious transport, with the interior designed like some sort of mansion. In fact, all the rooms in the Clue boardgame could be found in this ship. Red-Shirts directed the team to the Library, where they were greeted with an unsettling sight. Aside from Blank, there were six live people in the ground. There were two people on the ground, though only one was dead. The woman in red appeared to have only fainted, and was being tended by a man in a purple suit. However, all eyes were instantly drawn to the other body on the floor.
An older man with snowy hair lay dead. His formal black suit was stained with his own blood, and he lay collapsed on the floor. A few questions revealed that this was Mr. Body, a rich industrialist who often brough his friends on trips in this luxury transport. As was his custom, Poirot insisted that Blank hold off on his investigations until the Belgian had concluded his own. Blank grudgingly agreed, giving the detectives one hour to come up with the killer before he brought in the security forces. The first step involved an investigation of the body. Faust was the perfect man for this job. He soon discovered that Mr. Body had clearly been stabbed with a knife, one which was razord sharp and rather heavy. He had been dead no more than an hour, and no less than half an hour. Clearly, one of the six gathered in the room had been responsible. The question was, which one?
Professor Plum Mr. Green Colonel Mustard Miss Scarlet Mrs. White Mrs. Peacock Naturally, the clue suspects were not content to allow Poirot to conduct his own investigation. As Mr. Green roughly put it, they would each solve the crime on their own. With that, all the suspects swept from the room to begin their own inquiries. With a sigh, the detectives split up and began their investigation. A complex mystery followed, during which several facts became quite clear. Each of the six suspects had a perfect motive for the crime, since Mr. Body had promised years ago to split his vast fortune six ways when he passed on. Secondly, each of the suspects was armed. Apparently, one of their vacation traditions was to pass out weapons to each guest at the beginning of the day. Of course, Plum couldn't remember the reason behind this tradition. Although Miss Scarlet was armed with the knife, it seemed quite impossible, given her alibi, that she could have killed Mr. Body. However, there seemed no other knife available that could have been used to deliver the killing blow. Nevertheless, Mr. Rhyze had a theory.
In imitation of Poirot's style, the communications officer summoned all suspects back into the Library as he made his accusation. He figured that only one other could have gotten hold of the knife. That was Professor Plum. During his dance with Miss Scarlet, he could have slipped the knife from her dress. On his way down to the study, it would have been a simple matter to stroll into the Library and bump off Mr. Body. Then, when Miss Scarlet fainted upon seeing Body's body, there was plenty of opportunity for Plum to return the knife. The room was silent for a long moment after this theory. Finally, Plum rose to his feet. With a laugh, he proceeded to seemingly tear off his face. In fact, it was only a mask for the true villain to hide behind.
Moriarty Hastings lept to make an arrest, but Moriarty only laughed. With a bundle of money, he bribed the greedy Mr. Green onto his side. Pulling out the wrench, Mr. Green joined into the battle, on Moriarty's side. The detectives were hard-pressed against this dangerous pair. Poirot even had to participate, pulling out his gun and accusing Mr. Green of poisoning Captain Over. Although this baffled the capitalist, it didn't save Poirot from Moriarty's psychic powers. Never a big fan of battles, Poirot was ready to drop out after Moriarty hit him with a blast of fire. Despite the powers of the Wrench, Mr. Green was able to drop Faust. However, Morton and Hastings soon took him down. Meanwhile, Moriarty had taken several big hits, and spun to escape. With amazing speed, he flew from the room. Mr. Rhyze followed in similar fashion, though not nearly as fast. However, the cunning villain was waiting as soon as the communications officer sped out of the room. A single psi-bolt was enough to down Mr. Rhyze, giving Moriarty a time to escape.
Poirot and Faust soon recovered their senses, and followed the others out of the Library. In the hallway, Mr. Rhyze lay beaten, with a note attached to his chest. It spelled out in no uncertain terms that they had not seen the last of Moriarty. Moments later, Blank arrived with his security. He took Mr. Green into custody, and initiated a search for Moriarty, although none expected to catch this master criminal. Now that all his work was completed, Poirot left the ship with a tip of his hat. As far as these mysteries were concerned, the heroes now knew everything.
Of course, more mysteries are still surely on the horizon.
Race: Tortalian
Occupation: Scientist
Prof. Plum was a bumbling and forgetful professor who worked for Mr. Body's company. Clad in a purple suit, balding and with spectacles and a pipe, he certainly looked the part. However, he hardly seemed to know what he was talking about as far as research was concerned. His alibi during the killing included a dance with Miss Scarlet and some paperwork in the Study. Throughout the day, he had been armed with the Rope.
Race: Deksiilan
Occupation: Capitalist
Quite justly reputed as a bully, Mr. Green was a financier who sat on the board of Mr. Body's company. A big man in a green suit, with grey hair and a sharp temper, he was fully capable of engaging and winning any sort of brawl. He had watched Plum dance with Scarlet, and then had gone to the kitchen for a snack. During the investigation, he returned there several times for more food. His weapon was the Wrench.
Race: Electran
Occupation: Colonel in the Electran Military
It has often been said (by me) that the best strategy in a game of Clue is to accuse Colonel Mustard. A man of military bearing, the good Colonel had brown hair, a mustache, a monocle, and a banana-yellow suit. He had gone on several hunting trips with the late Mr. Body. He was always ready to engage in a duel, and had spent the day in the Billiards Room, allegedly playing against only himself. He was armed with the Revolver.
Race: Deksiilan
Occupation: Actress
Miss Scarlet was one of Mr. Body's favorite actresses, although few could say why. A young dark-haired woman, she always wore a red dress and had a penchant for fainting at every possible opportunity. After dancing with Prof. Plum, her alibi included going to the lounge to relax. This statement was backed up by Mrs. White, which made things more interesting, since Miss Scarlet was armed with the knife.
Race: Arsan
Occupation: Maid
Mr. Body's bitter maid, she had worked for him for many years and enjoyed nothing more than spreading gossip and suspicion about all the others. Mrs. White was dressed for her occupation in a black dress with a white maid's cap and apron. She had spent time cleaning in the lounge during the time of the crime, eliminating her and Miss Scarlet, unless the two were in league. She came armed with the lead pipe.
Race: Deksiilan
Occupation: Socialite
A high-browed aristocratic type, Mrs. Peacock had met Mr. Body many times at high social functions. She deplored bad manners of any sort, and found most of Mr. Body's other guests to be completely unacceptable. Especially Miss. Scarlet, who she called a two-bit floozy, and Mr. Green, who was just rude. A well-bred woman, she always wore an elegant blue dress with many peacock feathers. She was armed with the candlestick, and her alibi involved a visit to the Dining Room to inspect other such weapons.
Race: Tortalian
Occupation: Master Criminal
An intergalactic master criminal, Moriarty had disguised himself as Professor Plum with the hopes of inheriting that portion of the Body fortune. A tall man, shrouded in black, Moriarty had dark hair and a dark, twisting goatee. As well as the Rope, he also carried a skull-tipped cane. Throughout his career, this villain has faced Poirot many times, and will probably do so many more times to come. In combat Moriary could make use of incredible psychic powers to bring down his foes.
